We share a tasting room with Poplar Grove Cheese. When you visit you can enjoy both our wines and Poplar Groves artisan cheeses together. Come drink some wine and eat some cheese.

The adventure that became Serendipity Winery began in the fall of 2005 when Judy Kingston embarked on a holiday wine tour of the Okanagan with a view to finding a retirement property in the south Okanagan. Instead, she found an old apple and cherry orchard in Naramata. This was the first Serendipitous moment, as she set out to convert the orchard to a vineyard with the goal of establishing a new boutique winery.

Since 2006 Judy has devoted her full time efforts to the Serendipity vineyard and winery. Her two adult children have each put in summers working in the vineyard.

The first harvest was in 2009 and of exceptional quality. The four wines were entered into four competitions, and won a total of 10 awards, including double gold at the 2011 San Francisco International Wine Competition. It was a tribute to the many hours of hard work and dedication that Judy put into the vineyard with the goal of producing quality over quantity. To add complexity and diversity to the wines, additional grapes have been purchased from local Okanagan growers who share the same commitment to quality.

The five wines that have currently been released for 2012 were all reviewed by John Schreiner, and all of them received a point score between 90-93.

Serendipity wines are now available in select wine stores and restaurants in Whistler, Vancouver, and the Okanagan Valley. You can also buy our wines online at our website (below), or at our wine shop.

Set on landscaped gardens overlooking Okanagan Lake, this upscale log cabin-style B&B (seasonal) is 3.3 km from the centre of Naramata and 13 km from the South Okanagan Events Centre. D’Angelo grows a variety of reds including Tempranillo and BC’s first Montepulciano grapes with its first harvest due in 2020. Family owned and operated Winery & Guest House is located on a 27 acre property perched on the bluffs of the Naramata Bench. The Guest House has 3 Suites, 2 bachelors Suites and 1 Three bedroom Suite which can also be rented as a two bedroom. All the suites have private entrances, bathrooms, kitchens, and panoramic views from the balconies. The wine shop is open year round and you can often catch Sal in the tasting room for a wine tasting. Enjoy a bite to eat from our on-site Food Truck, Danelo’s Italian Sandwiches owned by Sal’s brother Danny. Grab a panini, play a game of Bocce and open a bottle of wine in our Picnic area.

Hillside is one of the original two wineries established on the Naramata Bench. The apricot orchard that was planted on the site in the early 1900s was converted to grapes in 1983 by a modern-day pioneer who was told she couldn't grow Cabernet Sauvignon on the Naramata Bench. The vines she planted still produce award winning wines today. Utilizing our own vineyards and those of our neighbours, Hillside's winemaker, Kathy Malone is committed to making premium wines exclusively from grapes grown on the Naramata Bench.

The Kitchen, was created in 2012, with the goal of setting itself apart from pretentious fine dining three course menus.

Our goal was to develop a more social and interactive way of eating. Inspired by Da Silva wines, Chef Abul Adame crafts a wide range of diverse dishes to accommodate any kind of food restriction, served Tapas style. Abul considers cooking an art and pursues it with endless passion.

At The Kitchen you will find a friendly atmosphere operated with family values and honest simple preparation. The best way to experience the Kitchen is through “Chef’s Choice”, where Abul will bring out course after course of vegetarian, seafood, meat-centric tapas with surprises along the way. Chef’s choice enables Abul’s creativity to be tested and offers an opportunity to diverge from the normal menu.

ABOUT the property

We provide scenic, deluxe, guest suites adjacent to the Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) trail in beautiful Naramata. The suites are sound-proofed, air-conditioned and have their own private entrances and decks with spectacular views. Each suite accommodates two adults.

Our Meadow Suite is on the lower floor and has a queen bed. Our Sky Suite is on the upper floor with a king bed. Both suites are self-catering with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher and outdoor BBQ. Continental breakfast is included with items such as granola, cereal, oatmeal, homemade muffins, jam, and a selection of coffees and teas.

We offer a covered gazebo and an outdoor hot tub, both with expansive views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding vineyards. Our home is located adjacent to the world class, scenic KVR trail. Bring your bikes, use ours, or rent in town.

EV charging is available. We are LGBT friendly.

The Royal Anchor Resort is set in one of the most scenic and secluded locations on Lake Okanagan, a ten-minute drive from Penticton. We are surrounded by weeping willows, fruit trees, spacious lawns and patios.

Visit us in spring, summer and fall. In springtime you can enjoy the earliest fruit in Canada. Off-season rates are very reasonable. The South Okanagan is host to festivals all year round. May brings the Meadowlark Festival, and the first of three wine festivals held in May, August and October. We are also a stone's thrown from several excellent wineries.

The resort is close to the Kettle Valley Railway; walkers, hikers, cyclists and bird watchers enjoy the beautiful scenery, tunnels, trestles, camping areas and fishing lakes along the 57 miles from Penticton to the North and East. During the summer, Naramata has a weekly Farmers Market, and enjoy the Beach Blanket Film Festival in July, the Naramata Fair on the August long weekend, the Peach Festival and Ironman Canada Championship Triathlon in August, and wrap up the summer with the Pentastic Jazz Festival in early September.
