TRANSPORTATION

BC Transit provides bus services along the Naramata Bench to Penticton with ramp and elevator access for those looking for accessible options. There are a variety of coffee shops and eateries serving up local goodness that provide paved walkways and accessibility if stairs or uneven terrain are difficult. Shops and restaurants with designated accessible parking stalls are located along main routes and are marked on our Discover Naramata Tourism Map.

THINGS TO DO

BC Parks is the second largest parks system in Canada and many of its provincial parks offer accessible features such as paths, trails and other amenities.

Children and parents alike will enjoy the villages accessible playgrounds: Spirit Park near Naramata Elementary School, and Children’s Garden near the Naramata Centre Beach.

The Kettle Valley Rail Trail’s Little Tunnel viewpoint is located 25 minutes north of the village and is a must see. Accessed via North Naramata & Chute Lake Road, the Little Tunnel is a short 5 minute walk from the parking lot along a paved pathway.

Enjoy a picnic lunch and watch local wildlife at Naramata’s Wharf Park located just off of 1st street in the village. The park has compact gravel pathways leading around the lakeside and the historic Train Docks.
