The Naramata Bench Goes Bleu, Blanc & Rouge This Summer

There are few places where summer feels quite as magical as the Naramata Bench. Long afternoons stretch into golden evenings, vineyard rows glow beneath the Okanagan sun, and visitors gather around tables filled with exceptional wine, local food, and good company.

This June, a new collaboration is bringing an extra touch of French flair to the Bench.

The newly formed French on the Bench Collectif is launching its inaugural event, Naramata en Bleu, Blanc & Rouge, on Sunday, June 28, at the historic Naramata Inn. The afternoon garden party celebrates the French-inspired spirit that has quietly woven itself into the fabric of the Bench for years.

The Collectif brings together four beloved Naramata destinations: JoieFarm WineryRoche WinesLa Petite Abeille Cider, and Bistro Lapin Perdu at the Naramata Inn. United by a shared appreciation for French tradition, hospitality, and the simple pleasures of good food and wine, the group is creating a new way for visitors and locals alike to experience the community.

From 3:00 to 7:00 PM, guests will gather on the Inn’s lawn for an afternoon that feels part garden party, part French fête, and entirely Naramata.

Expect welcome bubbles from JoieFarm Winery and La Petite Abeille Cider, passed canapés from Bistro Lapin Perdu, and tasting opportunities from participating producers. DJ Captain K will provide the soundtrack to the afternoon while guests relax on picnic blankets and lawn chairs, strike a pose in the photo booth, or try their hand at a friendly game of pétanque.

And yes, dressing in bleu, blanc et rouge is strongly encouraged.

The event also marks the launch of the new Tour de Naramata Pass, a passport-style experience designed to encourage exploration of Collectif partner locations throughout the season. Available for $15, the pass offers more than $80 in value and includes entry into a year-end prize draw featuring a collection of experiences from participating partners.

More than anything, Naramata en Bleu, Blanc & Rouge is a celebration of what makes this corner of the Okanagan special: passionate local producers, memorable food and wine experiences, and a community that believes great hospitality is best shared.

As the French on the Bench Collectif puts it, “The Naramata Bench has always had a little something French about it.”

This June, visitors are invited to discover exactly what that means.
