AUTUMN IN NARAMATA

Hiking at Naramata Creek Park

We’ve talked about the buzz of Summer. Also, the short window when Summer ends. But there's something else we'd like to tell you about. Another little secret we'd like to let you in on. Are you ready?

Naramata is more than a one-season destination.

That's right! Naramata has something for everyone all year long and Autumn, an unsung season itself, is now upon us. Shortening days and cooler evenings mean an annual sense of coziness has begun. Sunny days remain abundant only minus the summer heat. Colours are changing, bringing a new vibrancy to the local landscape. Restaurants, accommodations, activities and tasting rooms remain open, and without the line-ups of the high season, there are plenty of opportunities to get to know the locals a bit more.

Autumn is unjustly dwarfed by Summer across the country, and Naramata is no different. And what a shame that is. Sure, things wind down, like the local farmer's market. But others wind up, such as Dark Sky Naramata, as we no longer need to wait until the wee hours of the morning to star gaze. Or Harvest, which, given our location, needs no introduction. We'll discuss each of these in more detail in our upcoming stories.

The point is that our region simply has too much on offer to be pigeonholed into being a single-season destination. Summer is a beautiful time, but if that was the only time people came, too much would be missed.

Think of a close friend whom you spend plenty of time with. Surely you don't do the same thing together on the same day every year, right? Imagine how much you'd miss out on if you did. Well, we want you to think of us as that friend you can count on for various ways to enjoy yourself on any day of the year.

Here in Naramata, we pride ourselves on the diversity we have to offer. From the vibrant buzz of Summer to the cozy charm of Autumn, we're here for you whenever you're ready to explore.

Just to be clear, we aren't suggesting you avoid coming in the Summer. On the contrary, it's a wonderful time to visit. But why stop there? Why not experience the unique charm of Autumn, the cozy comfort of Winter, and the refreshing bloom of Spring? Naramata is a year-round destination, and we're here to help you make the most of every season.

So, why not consider visiting us in Naramata during one of the unsung seasons? Exploring our lovely region outside the peak season of Summer is incredibly rewarding. With its vibrant colours and cozy atmosphere, Autumn is a great place to start. You never know, you might just fall in love with this place all over again, discovering unique rewards that only off-peak seasons can offer.
