Kick Off Canada Day Week in Naramata

Happy International Rosé Day!

What better way to kick off a week of Canada Day celebrations than by raising a glass of Naramata Bench rosé?

Today is International Rosé Day, and there may be no better place to celebrate than right here on the Naramata Bench, where wineries are pouring some truly exceptional 2025 vintage rosés. Crisp, refreshing, beautifully crafted, and crafted from Okanagan grapes grown right here in Canada, these wines capture everything we love about summer in the Okanagan.

And what a week to celebrate.

As we head into Canada Day, Naramata is bursting with everything that makes this place, and this country, so special: world-class wine, local food, live theatre, live music, farmers markets, community celebrations, and breathtaking landscapes. It’s a chance to slow down, gather with friends and family, support local businesses, and celebrate what it means to be proudly Canadian.

Start with Rosé

Whether you’re visiting your favourite Bench winery or discovering a new one, International Rosé Day is the perfect excuse to spend the day exploring. From pale Provençal-inspired styles to vibrant, fruit-forward expressions, the 2025 rosé releases are already proving to be another outstanding vintage for the Naramata Bench.

Because if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that rosé tastes better with a lake view.

And, many wineries are staying open later into the evening giving us more time to enjoy the incredible views and this delicious vintage.

En Bleu, Blanc & Rouge

The celebrations continue this weekend with En Bleu, Blanc & Rouge at the historic Naramata Inn on Sunday, June 28. Hosted by the French on the Bench Collectif, including JoieFarm Winery, Roche Wines, La Petite Abeille Cider, and Bistro Lapin Perdu, the event brings together French-inspired food, wine, cider, music, pétanque, and plenty of Bench hospitality.

Lavender, Community & Giving Back at Playlist Lavender Farm

On Sunday, June 28, don’t miss the Lavender Harvest Party at Playlist Lavender Farm from 1–4 pm. Hosted in support of the Save Your Skin Foundation, this beautiful summer afternoon celebrates lavender season while raising awareness and funds for melanoma and skin cancer education.

Guests can enjoy the stunning lavender fields in full bloom, participate in lavender harvesting, capture photos among the flowers, enjoy family-friendly activities and crafts, and experience one of the Naramata Bench’s most picturesque summer settings. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support an important cause while enjoying one of the season’s signature experiences.
